The 29er Eurocup series up and running

The 29er Eurocup Series finally got off the ground this month in the Czech Republic.

The 29er Eurocup series finally got off the ground this month in the Czech Republic at picturesque Lake Lipno. It was fantastic to see sailors from GER,HUN,NED,SVK & AUT come together with the CZE sailors and have a great weekend of racing.

8 races took place over the two days and in the end it was the Germans who took line honours and the top two steps on the podium with the Hungarians coming in 3rd. 60 boats, 6 nations and 8 races was a fine way to kick off the series and well done to the Organisers for putting on the event in what is still challenging circumstances.

Well done to all the sailors for making the effort to travel and we shall look forward to other events taking place this year.  Along with the usual venues of Kiel week and the Dutch Youth Regatta, IRL are new to the line up and have opened entry early. Anyone wishing to take advantage of some good old Irish hospitality should try to join them. They are a fun bunch!
