Congratulations to Alexander Gronblom & Martin Mikkola (FIN) who bested the 29er fleet of 13 boats representing Finland, Estonia, Russia & Latvia over the weekend.

Nael/Mercier Win EuroCup #3 in NED

NEDphotoCongratulations to Gwendal Nael & Lilian Mercier who dominated the Dutch Youth Regatta/EuroCup #3 in Medemblik, NED.  As a great test for the upcoming 29er Worlds to be held in the same location, 38 teams came to the DYR to test their skills.  Nael/Mercier (FRA) won with a 32 point lead over 2nd place Alexander Gronblom & Martin Mikkola of Finland.  French sailors Theo Revil & Gautier Guevel finished 3rd overall.  Full results

Per the Class Rules, the top 25 finishers at the previous Worlds earn the right to use their finish for one year.

Tanguy Rulleau/Yannis Naudy Take EuroCup #2 Win in Cavalaire

Winning in their home waters of France, the duo Tanguy Rulleau/Yannis Naudy sailed a solid series to take the 2nd EuroCup of 2016.

Germans Gwendal Lamay/Luke William, no stranger to the 29er Circuit, were closing in on the leaders but came away with a silver and edged out the French team of Gwendal Nael/Lillian Mercier who won the bronze.  101 teams registered for the event with the fleet split into Gold & Silver fleets after 6 qualifying races.
