Transportation
Located in a splendid gulf protected by Monte Brione, Riva dominates all the upper Garda area. It is the most important commercial centre of the north-western part of the lake and the natural transit point for all the tourists who arrive at Lake Garda from the Brenner Pass. It is equipped with a practical, modern conference centre and a wide range of accommodation facilities and it provides a full calendar of cultural activities and events throughout the year. In the waters around the town only sailing crafts are permitted. Ø Closest airport: The closest airports to Trentino Garda are those of Verona - Villafranca (Valerio Catullo), Montichiari - Brescia (Gabriele D'Annunzio), From Verona airport: A.P.T.V. connecting bus service every 20 minutes to Verona train and bus stations (travel time 15 minutes). From there you can catch an A.P.T.V. bus to Riva (two hours) or take a train to Rovereto (50 minutes) and then an Atesina bus to Riva (45 minutes). From Montichiari - Brescia airport: bus service to the Brescia bus and train stations (only 4 or 5 per day). Ø Closest train station: Rovereto (TN)
