Turkey 11-13 November Istanbul

INDIA INTERNATIONAL EVENT |

The India International Regatta that featured the 29er for the 2nd year was another big step in expanding the skiff into this region of the world. In fact, it was so successful that the 29er will be included in the 2011 Sail the Gulf regatta to be held in Doha. This is the biggest sailing event in the Gulf.

FREE WORLDS ACCOMMODATIONS |

Are you still hesitating to join the 29er Worlds? Are you still seeking for a place to stay? Well…this is your lucky day!!! We already have 18 competitors registered and signed up for free accommodations but today we just confirm 50 new places.
These places will be granted to the first ones to apply for it. In order to apply you must first be registered.
The accommodations are located in the Mar del Plata Naval Base, next to the Club Nautico, only 300 meters away. Please see the map on the attached link.
It is a common bedroom with 25 bunk beds. The room comes with a bathroom and showers. Each competitor will have a locker.
The room will be available from December 26th until January 9th.
A list will be published each week updating the number of places that are available.

29ers are now in Turkey with a small fleet from the ISAF Youth Worlds held recently in Istanbul. Hakan Solmaz recently introduced the 29er to the Optimist and Laser youth sailors who took them out for a quick spin. See their first sail here

HENKENS WIN 29ERXX NORTH AMERICANS |
|
Paris Henken with her big brother Hans crewing, won the 29erXX North American Championship in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. CORK as the event is known, had 15 29erXX boats on the line for the North Americans. The 29erXX held a medal race in a hotly contested and intense race, won by Americans Tyler MacDonald and Tucker Atterbury. See full results on the link 2 stories down. Photo by Stacey Childers.
