SailGroove has voted the combined 29er/49er Worlds held in January, 2010 in the Bahamas, as the best regatta for 2010! 29ers HOLD CLINIC AND NATIONALS IN JAPAN |

The 29er Nationals and a clinic with 49er sailor Kenji Nakajura coaching as well as 1996 Olympic silver medalist Yumiko Shige launching the first 29erXX in Japan. Large wind & waves challenged the group, but everyone had great practice on the water. Japan hopes tos end a 29er team to the ISAF Youth Worlds in Croatia in 2011.

29ers will be included in the 19th Qatar International Regatta to be held Feb 15-19 in Doha, Qatar. Hosted by the Qatar Sailing & Rowing Federation, the 29er will be one of 7 classes in this epic event. The NOR is posted on the events page and here. Preliminary entries and charter requests must be sent by January 1 with final entry by Feb. 1. Sail the Gulf and be part of this fabulous opportunity!

LÜBECK BROTHERS WIN 2010 EUROCUP |
|
Mads Emil Lübeck and his brother Christian Peter Lübeck of Denmark bested 211 other teams to win the overall EuroCup title for 2010. Mads & Emil sailed in 5 of the 8 events, winning the opener in France and standing on the podium in the Danish & German events. Their other finishes were top 10's. Second overall were Domagos Fizulic and Leon Ostrez of Croatia who also competed in 5 events, followed by the German twins of Jule and Lotta Görge. The girls also sailed in 5 of the 8 events, winning the final competition in Italy. 18 countries participated in the 2010 EuroCup with events in France, Netherlands, Denmark, Germany Spain, GBR and Italy.
