After 4 days of racing with every single sailing condition ARG 5 Pepe and Fernando won the Nationals defending the title obtained in 08.
Argentina is preparing the teams for the 2011 29er World Championship in Mar del Plata, with 35 boats registered, the 29ers started the first day of the regatta with extreme conditions (3 races with 25 knots + !!!) organized by the Yacht Club Olivos.
Second day was light air and only one race! The second race had to be abandoned on the downwind leg.
By the end of the first weekend Nahuel Martinez and Axel Vugdelija were leading the Championship after 4 races.
The Nationals were also the Team Trials for the Bahamas Worlds. The Argentinean Yachting Federation supports the top 29er sailors to compete at the Worlds.
The second weekend the races started with 15 knots and 5 races to go, the RC was behind the schedule because of the second day light air conditions. Some sailors were expecting to complete the 6th race to use the first drop.
The day was won by ARG 5 with 1,1,2 & 1. With eight races completed and one drop, Pepe & Fernando were leading the regatta followed by Tato Billoch and Tomas Wagmaister.
On the last day of the Nationals the day started with flat water and 10 knots dropping to 5 knots for the second race.
Bettini-Gwozdz won the title 12 points ahead of ARG 13 Belen Tabella and Franco Greggi who had a good regatta (all days top two on the overall results),on the third step of the podium were Tato Billoch and Tomas Wagmaister.
