Yachting Association of India will be hosting the second edition of India International Regatta 2010 during 03 - 10 Oct 2010 at Chennai, India and would like to invite sailors below the age of 19 years as of 31 Dec 2010 to participate in this regatta. The entry fee is USD 200 and boats are available on charter at USD 150. This is all inclusive of transportation, boarding and lodging. In addition, many social evenings and an organised trip to Mahabalipuram and other heritage sites near Chennai is also being organised by the organizers. More information is available on the event website www.iiregatta.in and online entry can be made using the form provided. No payment is necessary at this stage and the same can be transferred to our bankers details of which are provided in the Notice of Race. |

FRASER & LIEBENBERG WIN US NATIONALS |

Max Fraser and David Liebenberg added another US title to their resumes. Sailing out of Cabrillo Beach Yacht Club - known as "Hurricane Gulch" the 30 boat fleet had everything from 10 to 24 knots of breeze over the 3-day event. Brothers Sterling and Hans Henken finished 2nd with Oliver Tool and Craig Schifferns in 3rd. Top Youth team were Sterling and Hans Henken with top Female team of Katy Canname and Helena Scutt. The US Youth Championships will take place in the same venue in a few weeks, giving those competitors a little extra time on the water. Congratulations to all. Henry Lloyd Williams and Sam Batten - fresh off their ISAF Youth Worlds event, won the latest EuroCup event held this past weekend in Parkstone Yacht Club in GBR. Full results can be found at the link below. The EuroCup standings will be udpated shortly - check this website soon!
A quick reminder that the next Eurocup event takes place at Parkstone Yacht Club this weekend; click on the title link for the event website. This combined UK Grand Prix and Eurocup event is fast becoming a skiff festival as the Musto Performance Skiffs are also joining us after their UK Nationals last week. On the Saturday after racing there’ll be an opportunity to try a XX, and we hope to set up a short, two boat downhill skiff cross course in front of the clubhouse. There will also be a beach barbeque at the club for the spectators & sailors (an opportunity to catch up with some 29er sailors who have now moved onto the Musto).
