HENKENS WIN 29ERXX NORTH AMERICANS

cork2010_henkens.jpgParis Henken with her big brother Hans crewing, won the 29erXX North American Championship in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.  CORK as the event is known, had 15 29erXX boats on the line for the North Americans.  The 29erXX held a medal race in a hotly contested and intense race, won by Americans Tyler MacDonald and Tucker Atterbury.  See full results on the link 2 stories down.   Photo by Stacey Childers.

 
TEZZA & BERGAMASCHI WIN SWISS NATIONALS

The Swiss are back having taken a few years off, and held an open Swiss Championship.  27 teams from 4 nations competed with 1/2 the sailors coming from the home country.  YC Locarno held the Championship over the past weekend in good conditions on the major Lake of Locarno with Lavinia Tezza/Paoloa Bergamschi ITA as the winners scoring three bullets. Sandra Giovanoli/Franziska Wild SCStä were 2nd, Ivo Jenni/Daniel Vettiger SUI 3rd. Full results here

FRASER/LIEBENBERG WIN NORTH AMERICANS

2010nas.jpgMax Fraser and David Liebenberg of the US won the 56 boat 29er North Americans, held in Kingston, Ontario, Canada.  Top 5: Fraser/Liebengerg: 2nd Sterling & Hans Henken - USA; 3rd Tyler MacDonald/Brian Bolton - USA; 4th Tucker Atterbury/Duncan Swain  -USA; Declan Whitmyer/Ian Storck -USA.  Top female team was Emily Tsang & Lauren Laventure of Canada in 9th overall.  Gold results  Silver results

29erXX North Americans begin Saturday, August 21.

 
AARHUS SAILING WEEK

The Aarhus sailing week is at the 28/8-29/8 2010 in aarhus, Denmark.

It would be nice to se you all at this regatta. It is the Danish youth championchip so all the Danish 29’er sailors will come. It is held together with the Aarhus festival week. It is a very funny week with a lot of party, music and culture all over the city. The habour are ten minuts walk from the city centrum.

It will be possible to stay at our homes = free acommondation and a lot of fun :D :D

And it is also possible to rent som 29’ers in Aarhus. We think we have 4 29’ers you can rent. But you have to bring your own sails...

The regatta fee are 300 dkk = 40 euro

It is also possible to sail 29’erXX, we think there will be 3 Danish 29’er XX. (But we are sailing 29’er)
